Acrylic To Global : Design Competition
As the year draws to a close and on a quiet Christmas Eve moment, we are proud to share a story of learning, courage, and creative growth.
Felicia Lidjaya, a fashion design student at Shih Chien University and a former intern at Sing Mas, spent three months exploring material applications and technical
thinking during her internship. Through hands-on learning, she gained an understanding of how Light Guide technology can interact with structure, functionality, and movement—transforming material knowledge into design language.
In the highly competitive 2025 ECLAT Fashion Design Competition, Felicia completed six full design looks, four of which were functional sportswear pieces integrating
Light Guide technology—including two jackets and two pairs of pants. Her willingness to experiment with unconventional materials and push beyond traditional fashion boundaries helped her work stand out, earning her a place among the Top 20 finalists.
The final submission will take place on December 29, 2025, followed by a runway presentation on January 30, 2026, as part of Taipei Fashion Week. This milestone
marks an exciting new chapter for Felicia—and a meaningful moment for Sing Mas, seeing material exploration move from internship learning into a real design stage.
We are truly proud of Felicia’s dedication, creativity, and courage to challenge herself. Her journey reflects the original purpose of our cross-disciplinary internship initiative:
to expand material knowledge across creative fields, explore material aesthetics, and invite new perspectives into how materials are applied in design.
As the year comes to an end, Felicia’s story serves as a reminder that innovation begins with learning and grows through action. We also hope her journey encourages more young
talents and professionals to consider Light Guide as a creative material for their own projects, developments, and future collaborations.
This is a new journey—for Felicia and for Sing Mas—and we look forward to seeing where it leads next.
