Acrylic to Global: Internship Ceremony
On January 13, 2026, we gathered to formally conclude the 2025 Acrylic to Global Internship Program—an initiative that challenged long-held assumptions and reshaped how we think about talent, collaboration, and innovation.

Although the program officially ended on November 28, 2025, this ceremony marked its true completion. It was our first attempt at launching a structured, international internship program, and it did not come without doubt. Coming from a traditionally manufacturing-driven mindset, we questioned ourselves honestly at the beginning:
Can students truly complete real projects?

If they can, will the outcomes feel too academic to be applied in the real world?
Is the investment—twelve interns from different countries—worth the risk?

These questions were real, especially for a management team and board shaped by decades of conventional thinking. Yet we also knew one thing clearly: if we continued with the same mindset, we would never move forward. So we chose to take the leap.

Looking back, it was the right decision.

This journey was not without trial and error. We learned alongside one another, adjusted expectations, rethought workflows, and—most importantly—began to see our own organization differently. What started as uncertainty gradually evolved into trust, collaboration, and mutual growth.

To our interns: thank you for giving Sing Mas a chance. Thank you for giving us your most valuable time—your summer breaks while others were on vacation, and your continued commitment while balancing academic responsibilities. Your dedication challenged our perspectives and expanded how we define contribution and innovation.

We are also proud to recognize two outstanding interns as the first recipients of our Acrylic to Global Excellence Scholarships:

1st Place — Felicia Cahaya ( 廖嘉莉 )
2nd Place — Fionna Rachel ( 鄧晴 )

As students of Design Strategy and Innovation, they did more than complete assignments. They bridged academic thinking with real industry challenges and helped set a new benchmark for what this program can become.

This experience reaffirmed a simple truth: innovation is not only about materials or technology—it is about people, trust, and the courage to evolve. Watching interns grow into collaborators, and collaborators into future colleagues, has been one of the most meaningful outcomes of this journey.

This is only the beginning.
