Recent discussions with the University of Washington Integrated Design Lab and North American design communities further reinforced that commercial projects are increasingly evaluating materials through the lens of:
• energy efficiency and carbon reduction
• wellness and healthcare-oriented environments
• long-term operational durability
• ESG and lifecycle integration
These conversations are reshaping how future commercial interiors and architectural projects approach material selection and application.
Current areas of focus for Starite include:
▪ On-Site Material Validation
Evaluating how Lightguide systems and textured acrylic applications perform within high-traffic commercial environments and installation conditions.
▪ Commercial Interior Integration
Continuing to learn from platforms such as NeoCon 2026 to better understand future expectations surrounding material integration, atmosphere, and applied performance within North American A&D markets.
▪ ESG & Lifecycle Alignment
Further exploring lifecycle assessment (LCA), energy-saving applications, and operational sustainability considerations to better align future product development with evolving market standards.
